UVM Athletics, Mascoma Bank Renew Multi-Year Relationship

Mascoma pledges $10,000 as presenting sponsor of Rally Against Cancer games benefiting the UVM Cancer Center

BURLINGTON, Vt. – University of Vermont Athletics and its multimedia rightsholder, LEARFIELD's Vermont Sports Properties, announced today the return of Catamount corporate partner Mascoma Bank. The extended multi-year agreement with Vermont Sports Properties calls for Mascoma Bank to serve as presenting sponsor of the university's Rally Against Cancer initiative benefiting the UVM Cancer Center across all sports. Mascoma Bank, in partnership with UVM Athletics and the UVM Cancer Center are working to build awareness and support for local cancer research efforts through key fundraising and engagement efforts at this winter's Rally Against Cancer Games. In this new term, Mascoma Bank bolsters its support and commitment by pledging to match up to $10,000 for the Rally Against Cancer games through the month of February. This year fans will have the opportunity to bid on special edition lavender Men's and Women's Basketball and Hockey game worn jerseys. The proceeds of these auctions and sales will be donated to the University of Vermont Cancer Center. Fans are also encouraged to wear lavender as it's the universal color that represents all cancers.

The Catamounts' dedicated Rally Against Cancer games this winter are as follows:
Women's Hockey – Feb. 3 at 6 p.m.
Women's Basketball – Feb. 18 at 2 p.m.
Men's Hockey – Feb. 18 at 7 p.m.
Men's Basketball – Feb. 22 at 7 p.m.
