TRACK & FIELD NOTEBOOK
Vermont track & field heads south to Boston on Friday (Jan. 27) to kick off a pair of two-day meets in the Commonwealth. The Catamounts will be competing in the Terrier Classic at Boston University, as well as the UMass Lowell Invite at the Track at New Balance. The Terrier Classic begins at 11 a.m. on Friday and Saturday (Jan. 28) at BU Track & Tennis Center. The UMass Lowell Invite kicks off at 10 a.m. on both days.

CATCHING UP WITH CONFERENCE FOES
The Catamounts will compete against student-athletes from many America East schools at this weekend's meets: Binghamton, Bryant, Maine, New Hampshire, NJIT, and UML.

LAST TIME OUT
Vermont track & field recorded a pair of second-place finishes in the team competitions at the Middlebury Winter Classic on Jan. 21. The Catamounts earned a pair of victories in the field events with
Lauren Triarsi (1.60m) and
Kevin Mills (1.90m) recording top marks in their respective high jumps. On the track,
Andie Cornish led a Catamount trio that swept the top three spots in the 3000-meter run.
Andrew Crompton recorded a first-place finish in the mile.

TOP MARKS IN AE
Lauren Triarsi's score of 3,272 points in the pentathlon at URI (Dec. 9) remains the top mark among America East competitors this season.
Kayla Myers has the No. 2 mark with a score of 3,185 points.
Jane Leighton held the fastest 3000-meter time in the conference for several weeks, but is currently No. 2 with her time of 9:48.05 set at the Beacon Invite (Dec. 10).
