AZUSA, Calif. – Vermont track & field's strong performances on the West Coast continued with several Catamounts in action at the Bryan Clay Invite.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Jane Leighton and Andie Cornish set new personal records in the women's 3000-meter steeplechase late Thursday night on the West Coast. Leighton logged a time of 10:25.97 in the race, beating her previous best mark by nearly five seconds. Cornish recorded a time of 10:56.58 for an improvement of 7.72 seconds.
- Kenneth Morrissey nearly matched his personal record in the men's 800-meter run on Friday afternoon, posting a time of 1:53.34. The sophomore was only 0.18 seconds off of his fastest mark.
- Charlotte Crum competed in women's 800-meter run, and ran her fastest mark of the season. The senior posted a time of 2:16.06 in the mid-distance run.
UP NEXT
Andrew Crompton will compete in the men's 5000-meter run later this evening on the West Coast. The senior is seeded to race in Heat 4 of the Open A division. The final heat of the 5000-meter run is expected to conclude at approximately 1 a.m. ET. A group of Catamounts will return to the Azusa Pacific University on Saturday for the final day of the Bryan Clay Invite. The rest of Vermont track & field will head to Amherst, Massachusetts for the UMass Invite.
