MIDDLEBURY WINTER CLASSIC
MIDDLEBURY, Vt.– The Catamounts made their second consecutive trip to Middlebury today to compete in the Middlebury Winter Classic. The men's team was victorious with 171 points, while the women scored 213.33. Kayla Myers had two second-place finishes and a victory for 26 points, while Jake Voynar had 12 points for the men.Â

"A lot of good energy from our Track and Field Cats again today. Seeing multiple victories today amid much bigger and competitive fields was encouraging. Kudos to Dillon Jensen who is still undefeated this year," said head coach Matt Belfield. "Bridget's double victory was a highlight too. We need to settle into the semester and keep getting more consistent as we get into our big invites the next couple weeks. I'm confident we will see excellent performances in the month ahead."

- The Vermont men posted 171 points from six individual victories and a victory in the distance medley relay.Â
- Voynar, Kevin Mills, Dillon Jensen, Finn Patenaude, Cameron Kirn, and Alex Garcia recorded their respective events' victories.Â
- Jake Bair, James Cilwik, Kenneth Morrissey, and Pierce DeBoer recorded second-place finishes.Â
- The Vermont women posted 213.33 points from five individual victories and numerous second-place finishes.Â
- Myers, Bridget Kosky, Ryleigh Garrow, and Laura O'Brien recorded individual victories, with Kosky recording two.Â
- Myers had two second-place finishes, while Sophia Filali, Carolena Bellini, Claire MacDonald, and Grace McNally recorded second-place finishes.Â

The Catamounts will head to Massachusetts next weekend as the men compete in the Terrier Classic (Jan. 26) and the UMass Lowell Invite (Jan. 27) while the women compete in the same events on opposite days.Â
