HOPKINTON, N.H. – William Locke finished 12th as the Vermont men took fifth at the New England championships with 150 points.

Joe Gingras. "A few guys under the weather but a good team performance. We were looking for a practice meet for America East in three weeks, and this was a good test. We still have work to do over the next three weeks if we want to have a top three finish but a good start."
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Locke was the Catamounts' top finisher, finishing 12th with a personal best of 24:55.1. Bennett Harrison-Michaels was the second point scorer, coming across the line in 26th with a personal best of 25:16.9.
- Elliot Hawley, Jameson Sparks, and Tommy Wolfe rounded out Vermont's scoring as they crossed the line in 29th, 42nd, and 45th. Hawley finished in 25:18.6, a personal best for him. Sparks came across the line in 25:37.3. Wolfe finished in 25:39.9, also a personal best for him.

Both programs will be in action on Sunday (Oct 20) next week as the Catamounts host the Fall Foliage Invitational.
