LEXINGTON, Va. – Vermont continued their strong performance on the last day of America East Championships to claim first place for the first time in program history. The Catamounts earned five varsity records and three first year records at the America East Championships on their way to a first-place finish with a score of 683 points. New Hampshire finished second with 671 points, while Bryant rounded out the top three with a score of 635.5.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Catamounts began the final day of competition with a gold medal finish in the 1650 free by Ella Church in a time of 16:40.48. Her finishing time was a Clark King Pool record and Vermont varsity record. Church won the 1650 free for the third consecutive season.
- Ellie Martin placed seventh in the 1650 free with a time of 17:19.85 while Emily Rocco placed eighth with a time of 17:21.76.
- Emma Wainwright placed seventh in the 200 back with a time of 2:04.20. Alexis Torykian placed eighth in a time of 2:05.00.
- Jackie House placed fifth in the 100 free with a time of 51.08 while Anastazja Szukala placed ninth in a time of 51.85.
- Natalie Schlemmer placed fourth in the 200 breast with a time of 2:17.48.
- House, Havana Layton, Szukala and Hally Laney finished fourth in the 400 free relay in a time of 3:26.00 to seal the Catamounts first America East Championship.
