Vermont will host six regular season non-conference matchups at Patrick Gym for the 2024-25 season. Last year, UVM hosted six out-of-conference games as well.
- The Catamounts start their season with two home exhibitions before the regular season begins. Vermont will host Saint Anselm on October 26, and will once again host crosstown matchup Saint Michael's on October 30.
- UVM begins the regular season with four straight road games. The Catamounts will head to Alabama to play UAB (University of Alabama at Birmingham) on November 4. In 2023-24 the Dragons had a 23-12 (12-6 AAC) record and won the American Athletic Conference championship.
- The Cats will then head down to play Auburn on November 6. This is the first time UVM has played Tigers in program history. Auburn went 27-8 (13-5 SEC) in 2023-24 and won the Southeastern Conference championship.
- Vermont will travel to Merrimack on November 9. This is Merrimack's first year as a member of the MAAC (Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference).
- UVM will round out their four-game road trip with a matchup against Iona on November 15. The Catamounts last played the Gaels in 2022.
- The Catamounts will have their first regular season home matchup against Buffalo on November 19.
- Vermont will then head to Uncasville, CT where they will play in the 2024 Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-Off at Mohegan Sun Arena. The last time UVM played in the Hall of Fame Tip-Off was back in the 2019-20 season. Their first game is against the University of Delaware on November 23. On November 24, the Catamounts will take on Fairfield.
- UVM will return home for a three-game home stand playing in a Lake Champlain matchup against Plattsburgh State on November 27. On November 30, Vermont will host Northeastern. Last year the Catamounts escaped with a (73-71) victory against the Huskies. UVM will then host Brown on December 3. Vermont outlasted the Bears last year in another close (71-70) victory.
- Vermont will then go on the road for two straight games. UVM will have a matchup against Yale on December 7. The last time the Catamounts faced the Bulldogs was when TJ Long hit a three-point shot with less than a second remaining in the game to beat Yale (66-65) at Patrick Gym last year.
- Vermont will travel to Colgate on December 15. Colgate finished the 2023-24 season with a 25-10 (16-2 Patriot) record and won a Patriot League Championship.
- UVM will come back home and play Miami (OH) on December 18. The Catamounts defeated the Redhawks in 2023.
- Vermont's last road non-conference matchup is against Dartmouth on December 21. The Catamounts currently have a 15-game win streak against the Big Green.
- To round out Vermont's non-conference schedule is a matchup against Elms College on December 30.
