BURLINGTON, Vt. – Vermont (5-1-3) will begin America East play on the road for the second straight year on Sunday afternoon, facing the only other America East team with five wins thus far, New Hampshire (5-2-1). Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. and the match will be broadcast live on AmericaEast.TV.

TDS Women's Team of the Week: September 16
WARREN RECOGNITION
- Topdrawersoccer.com released its Women's Soccer Team of the Week for September 16, featuring Vermont's very own sophomore midfielder Emma Warren as an honorable mention. Warren was the only America East player to be mentioned in this week's TDS Team of the Week.
- In Warren's most recent outing, she produced a two-assist performance against Stonehill on the road, the first time in her career tallying two assists in the same match. Warren scored her first career goal on August 25 against Boston University in a 2-2 draw. She also recorded one assist against Siena on September 4, adding to her five total points so far this season.
- Warren is currently tied for second amongst the America East Conference in total assist, earning three thus far. Warren is also tied for eighth amongst the America East Conference in total points, earning five points so far this season.
AYER RECOGNITION
- Bailey Ayer has been one of the most productive offensive players in the country during non-conference action, registering 19 points in nine total matches on eight goals and three assists. Her eight goals are currently tied for seventh throughout every Division 1 program in the country. She ranks first in the America East conference in goals scored while her shots taken is tied for second and her shots on target is ranked first. She also stands alone at the top of the America East rankings in total points, securing 19 total, which is good for 10th across the entire Nation. Ayer also ranks second in the America East Conference in assists, registering three so far this season.
- Ayer most recently scored a goal and an assist against Stonehill during the teams last outing, the second time this season securing a goal and an assist in the same match, the fourth time in her career.
VERMONT OUTLOOK
- Vermont currently holds a five-game unbeaten streak, the longest unbeaten streak since the 2021 season when they won the America East Championship.
- Kate Bossert is second on the team in points, registering nine total on four goals and one assist. Bossert enters Sunday's matchup after scoring goals in back-to-back matches against Sacred Heart and Stonehill, the first time this season finding the back of the net in back-to-back matches. Bossert is tied for seventh in the America East Conference in shots taken (19), tied for third in AE for goals (4), tied for seventh in AE for shots on goal (7), and tied for fourth in AE for total points (9).
- Sydney Remington is tied for third on the team in points (5) after scoring in back-to-back matches against Sacred Heart and Stonehill, including the game-winning goal versus the Pioneers and notching one assist against Boston University. It was the first time in her career tallying goals in back-to-back matches. Remington cracks the top 20 in the America East Conference in goals and points ranking 15th with two goals and 16th with five total points.
- Senior Tessa Weiss scored the game-winning goal versus Holy Cross to secure her first goal of the season while adding an assist against Stonehill, putting her at three total points on the season thus far.
- Kylee Carafoli has the fourth highest save percentage in the America East conference at .808. She is also tied for the fourth lowest goals against average in the conference at 1.000.
- The Catamounts have struck first in seven of their nine games this season, scoring 12 goals in the first half of action and seven in the second half of play.
- So far during the month of September, the Catamounts have outscored their opponents 12-3, earning shutouts over Holy Cross and Siena. Vermont has given up more than one goal just three times over a nine-game stretch.
- Vermont leads the America East in numerous categories including total shots (138), total points (51), total goals (19), and are second in total assists (13).
- The Catamounts return four America East All-Conference members from their 2023 squad, Bossert, Ayer, Bridget Kennedy, and Maddy Cronin.
- Vermont was picked to finish fifth in the America East 2024 Women's Soccer Preseason Coach's Poll.
SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
- New Hampshire enters Sunday's matchup with a 5-2-1 record, coming off a 1-0 loss to Stony Brook on Sunday, Sept. 15.
- The Wildcats have earned wins over Stonehill, Holy Cross, LIU, Merrimack, and Boston University.
- UNH has outscored its opponents 12-5 this season, earning four separate shutout victories.
- Junior Sally Rainey, the 2023 America East Goalkeeper of the Year, was selected to the America East Women's Soccer Preseason All-Conference Team.
- UNH was picked to finish third in the 2024 America East Women's Soccer Preseason Poll. The Wildcats were projected to finish with 50 total points.
- New Hampshire is led by senior forward, Meghan Guarente, who leads the team with five goals and one assist for 11 total points. Graduate student Delaney Lappin is right behind with three goals on the season.
- Vermont holds a 19-23-6 all-time record against New Hampshire. The Catamounts last victory over UNH was last season during the America East Tournament in the semi-final game, winning 2-1 thanks to second half goals from Jill Brody and Lauren DeGroot.
