KINGSTON, RI – The Catamounts got off to a fast start on Thursday night on the first day of the Harold Anderson Invitational claiming first place after day one at the Tootell Aquatic Center. Vermont earned 118 team points, eight ahead of the host URI and 10 in front of their America East rivals UNH.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Vermont started Thursday night off with a bang when the combination of Natalie Schick, Ellie Fazio, Jessica Drozdowski and Havana Layton set a Tootell Aquatic Center and meet record in the 200 medley relay in a time of 1:42.69.
• Schick qualified for the CSCAA National Invitational in the 50 Back swimming the lead off in the event for UVM.
• To finish the night Anastazja Szukala, Kara Cullinan, Gabby Puryear-Lynch and Katie Lester placed fourth in the 800 free relay in a time of 7:36.20. URI won the event in pool record time of 7:29.31.

UP NEXT
The Catamounts will compete in day two of the Harold Anderson Invitational on Friday (Nov. 21). The prelims will begin at 10 a.m. with the finals following at 5 p.m. One-meter diving will be at 1 p.m.
