PARK CITY, UT. – Senior Cydnie Timmerman secured a Catamount best finish of 15th place racing the giant slalom on Day one of the 2026 NCAA Skiing Championships on Wednesday from Spencer F. Eccles Olympic Mountain Center. After the first day of competition UVM sits in 11th place with 41.5 points. Colorado currently sits in first place with 137 total points.

Timmermann began the day of GS competition for the Catamounts racing the 11th fasted first run time at 1:05.52, overall posting a 2:08.00 two-run time earning her a top 15 finish in her third NCAA Championships appearance. First-Year
Kendahl Roufa made her NCAA Championships debut in the giant slalom finishing 24th with a two-run time of 2:10.75. Montana State Universities' Justine Lamontagne took the National Championship with a combined time of 2:03.98
On the men's side of the slopes,
Oskar Gillberg and
Felix Lindenmayer each made their NCAA Championships debut, seeing Gillberg earn a top 2o finish placing 19th with a combined time of 1:57.54. Gillberg raced a second run time of 58.03, the tenth fastest second run-time in the field. Lindenmayer finished in 24th place with a two-run time of 1:58.40.
Nordic skiing will open their first day of championships with the men's and women's 7.5k Classic at Soldier Hollow Nordic Center in Midway, UT. Competition is slated to begin at 11 a.m. ET. The racing will be streamed live on NCAA.com.
