BURLINGTON, Vt. - Vermont (1-0) will travel to Hamden, Conn., to face Quinnipiac (1-0) on Sunday, Aug. 30. The matchup is set for noon at the Quinnipiac Field Hockey Stadium and will be available to watch on the NEC Front Row.

VERMONT OUTLOOK

• On Thursday, five Catamounts were named to the NFHCA Watchlist: Jaime Lewis, Veerle Nijhuis, Maddy Weaver, Alicia Battistelli, and Consu de Castro.

• Vermont is looking to start the year 2-0 for the first time since 2016, when they defeated Central Michigan and La Salle. 

• The Catamounts are coming off a 5-2 win in their home opener over Northeastern on Friday, in which four different Catamounts scored.

• Veerle Nijhuis leads the America East, averaging 4.0 points per game after scoring twice against the Huskies. Consu de Castro tops the conference with 2.0 assists per game after dishing out two assists in the victory.

• This will mark the ninth all-time meeting between the Catamounts and Bobcats. Vermont last defeated Quinnipiac in 2016, earning a 2-1 victory on Moulton Winder Field.

SCOUTING THE BOBCATS

• The Bobcats finished the 2025 season with a 10-8 record.

• Quinnipiac was selected to finish second in the 2026 NEC Preseason Coaches' Poll.

• The Bobcats are off to a 1-0 start after defeating Bryant 2-1 on Friday.
