Rosenberg, a native of Boyds, Maryland, appeared in 48 games throughout his four-year UVM career, which was capped off by the Catamounts' first-ever trip to the America East Championship Game in May 2016. That same season, Rosenberg was part of the first UVM group to win an America East playoff game, taking down second-seeded Stony Brook by a 10-9 score in the conference semifinals.
He began his time in Burlington as a goalie before moving to midfield as a senior. As a netminder, Rosenberg collected 13 wins and made 413 saves. He also registered 117 career ground balls and 14 caused turnovers. In 2015, he was named to the America East All-Conference Second Team, which followed America East All-Rookie honors following his freshman campaign in 2013.
Rosenberg's signing marks the second America East alum picked up by the Bayhawks recently, as the squad also acquired former Albany attackman Lyle Thompson earlier this month.
Chesapeake has won five MLL Championships, raising the Steinfeld Cup in 2002, 2005, 2010, 2012 and 2013. The Bayhawks open up the 2017 regular season on Saturday, April 22, hosting the New York Lizards at 7:30 p.m. from Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.
