ABOUT VERMONTThe Catamounts sit at 2-1 overall after claiming their second straight victory on Saturday at Siena. Vermont won 12 of 16 events and set three pool records on its way to a 169-119 victory over the Saints. UVM set pool records in the 200 medley relay, 200 free relay and 100 breaststroke, in addition to claiming the top three spots in both the 100 and 200 freestyles.

Maggie Preston earned first-place scores in the 1-meter and 3-meter dives to lead the Catamounts.

Junior
Christa Weaver tops the Catamounts this season with five individual victories. She registered first-place finishes in the 50 and 100 freestyles in each of the team's opening two meets and has been a part of five relay-winning squads, four of which set pool records. Rookie
Shannon Cowley has also helped pace the squad with three individual victories, including a first-place finish and new pool record in the 100 breast at Siena on Saturday. On the boards, Preston has been UVM's top diver after sweeping both the 1-meter and 3-meter events in the past two meets against UNH and Siena.

DIVER OF THE WEEKPreston was named the America East Diver of the Week on Tuesday following a strong showing at Siena. Preston led the Catamounts to a sweep of the diving competition, claiming victory in both events for the second straight meet. She posted her top score of the season in the 1-meter (230.40), and followed with a first-place showing in the 3-meter (226.70) to close out the sweep.

ABOUT MAINEThe Black Bears are 1-1 on the year and will face Boston College in a dual meet today before Saturday's tri-meet. Maine opened the season with a loss at Rhode Island (181.50-118.50), before downing Providence (163-115) last time out for its first victory of the year. The Black Bears finished one spot behind Vermont (4
th place) at last season's America East Championships with 462.5 total points.

Rookie Emma Pontius and senior Naja Harvey have led Maine through its first two meets. Pontius has four individual victories on the year, including wins in the 200 fly at both meets. Harvey has claimed first place in both the 100 and 200-yard breaststrokes in each of the opening two meets for a total of four victories.

ABOUT BOSTON COLLEGEThe Eagles opened the season with a first-place showing at the five-team New England Catholic Invitational, and followed that up with dual meet victories over Bryant (184.5-115.5) and Bridgewater State (170-108). Last weekend, the Eagles fell to Johns Hopkins (233-131) and to Loyola (229.5-140.5) at the Thomas Murphy Invitational. Boston College is coming off an 11
th place finish at last season's ACC Championships, where they scored 162 team points.

Boston College won two events at their most recent meet, the Thomas Murphy Invitational. Jordan Parry earned a first-place finish in the 100 fly, while Dana Hadra and Marina Vranos registered the top two spots in the 1-meter diving event. In the Eagles' last dual meet vs. Bridgewater State, Kelly Ward led the way with a pair of victories in the 50 and 100 freestyles.
