Vermont (1-0) welcomes its second straight conference rival to Forbush Natatorium on Saturday morning (Oct. 15) as the New Hampshire Wildcats travel to Burlington for an 11 a.m. meet. Free live video is available in HD via CatamounTV.com. Saturday is also Poster Day presented by UPS Store South Burlington, and complimentary posters will be available after the meet.

VERMONT QUARTERLY FEATURE
Senior freestyle swimmer
Sarah Mantz is featured in the most recent edition of Vermont Quarterly from University Communications. Last year, Mantz helped UVM claim its first-ever America East 200 free relay title in program history and was an All-Conference performer in three different individual events. She also received the league's Elite 18 Award for her accomplishments in both the pool and the classroom.

SOUCY CLAIMS WEEKLY HONOR | Binghamton Highlights
Madison Soucy was selected as the first America East Diver of the Week this season on Wednesday following a standout performance against Binghamton last weekend. The sophomore from West Hartford, Connecticut had the highest score in the 1-meter dive (201.65) against the Bearcats and was second overall in the 3-meter event (185.45). Soucy helped lead the Catamounts to a convincing 177-105 victory in the America East opener last Saturday as UVM won 13 of the 16 events in the competition.

SCOUTING NEW HAMPSHIRE
The Wildcats compete in their season opener on Saturday and are coming off a 5-1 season in 2015-16, including a 3-0 mark in conference meets. UNH finished second overall at the 2016 America East Championships behind UMBC, closing the competition with 824.5 points. On the final day, Jess Harper broke the America East Championship and conference records in the 1,650-yard freestyle race. Bettina Caspersen was honored with the David Alexander Coaches Award, while Brittany Driscoll was named the meet's Most Outstanding Rookie. Josh Willman has spent nearly 25 years as the head coach at New Hampshire.

LAST YEAR'S MEET
Vermont fell 179-121 to the Wildcats last year in the second meet of the season at Swasey Pool in Durham, New Hampshire.
Shannon Cowley led the UVM swimmers, winning the 100-yard breaststroke over Caspersen, and also collected fourth place in the 200 breast.
Audrey Shenkin claimed the 200 IM for the Catamounts, followed by
Lauren Punger who placed second in two individual events.

WHO'S NEXT
Vermont is idle next weekend before traveling to face Siena in its first road meet of the season on Saturday, Oct. 29 at 1 p.m. in Loudonville, New York.
