KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Vermont senior forwards
Brian Wright and
Bernard Yeboah were named to the 2016 National Soccer Coaches of America Association (NSCAA) NCAA Division I All-East Region Teams. Wright was represented with a First Team selection while Yeboah landed on the Third Team.

Wright's senior campaign included 12 assists which tied him for the most among Division I men's soccer statistical leaders. He ranked second in the country in total points (40), scored the fourth-most game-winning goals (6), and sat fifth in goals scored (14) by the end of the season. The Ajax, Ontario native is only the second player in program history to record over 100 career points (103) behind the UVM's all-time leading scorer John Koerner (116). He set the single-season points record (39) in a 4-1 victory over Rider in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, only the third NCAA Tournament home victory in program history.
Yeboah wrapped up his final campaign in Catamount Country as one of the top scorers in the nation. He found the back of the net 11 times this season which ranked 19th in the country. Yeboah became only the 14th Catamount to score at least 10 goals in a season. The Brescia, Italy native finished the year in 22nd place in Division I with 26 points. He came into his senior year with 23 career points and has since surpassed the mark in just one season.
The 2016 squad won 14 games and became only the second UVM team to win at least 14 games. Over the past two seasons, Vermont has won more games (24) than any other program in America East.
In the career record book, Wright and Yeboah have combined for 152 total points – the most in program history by two Catamount classmates.
