BURLINGTON, Vt. – Chris Day was officially introduced as the eighth head coach of the University of Vermont women's basketball program at a formal press conference on Tuesday afternoon. Associate Vice President and Director of Athletics Dr. Robert Corran and incoming Director of Athletics
Jeff Schulman introduced Day to department staff, athletic supporters, and local media in the Bostwick Room.

Day comes to Vermont from the Penn women's basketball program, where he was an assistant coach for the last three seasons (2013-16). He helped guide the Quakers to the 2013-14 and 2015-16 Ivy League Championships, earning NCAA Tournament berths both seasons, and helped lead the program to the 2014-15 WNIT postseason tournament. Day assisted Penn to a 67-21 (.761) overall record in his three seasons, including a remarkable 36-6 (.857) mark in Ivy League.
