BURLINGTON, Vt. – The University of Vermont ski program will host the 2019 NCAA Skiing National Championships from March 6-9, 2019. The NCAA made the announcement on Tuesday.

The alpine national championships will take place at Stowe Mountain Resort and the Nordic national championships will be held at the Trapp Family Lodge. The sites host the annual UVM Carnival.
"The UVM Athletic Department is proud to have been selected to host the 2019 NCAA Ski Championship," Director of Athletics
Jeff Schulman said. "Skiing is an important part of the culture of our state and the UVM Ski Team has long been one of the nation's elite programs. We're looking forward to working with our partners at Stowe Mountain Resort and the Trapp Family Lodge to put on a first class national championship."
The NCAA Skiing National Championships will return to the Green Mountain State for the first time since 2013 when Middlebury hosted the national championships. The 2019 championship event will be the sixth time that UVM has hosted national championships and first since 2011.
UNH hosted the 2017 NCAA Championships at Cannon Mountain and the Jackson Touring Center. Colorado will host the 2018 NCAA Championships at Mt. Werner and Howelsen Hill.
The Catamounts have won six national championships in program history - 1980, 1989, 1990, 1992, 1994, and 2012.
Vermont finished the 2017 NCAA Championships in fifth place with 355 points. UVM had six All-America performances –
Paula Moltzan (National Champion) in women's slalom,
Ian Moore (Second Team) in men's classical,
Max Roeisland (First Team) in men's giant slalom,
Alayna Sonnesyn (First Team) in women's classical and freestyle, and
Will St. Germain (First Team) in men's slalom.
