BURLINGTON, Vt. – UVM freshman Nordic skier
Lina Sutro has been named Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association (EISA) Women's Nordic Skier of the Week. The league made the announcement on Monday.

Sutro earned a pair of podium finishes at the St. Michael's Carnival last weekend. She placed third overall in the women's 5K classic race on Saturday with an official time of 13:18.33. In Sunday's women's 10K freestyle skate, the Carbondale, Colorado native came in third place at 28:51.8.
Vermont won its second straight carnival with 483 points. Dartmouth followed in second place with 437 points and Middlebury rounded out the podium with 407 points.
The UVM alpine team will hit the slopes for the St. Michael's Carnival on Friday (Jan. 26) and Saturday (Jan. 27) at Smuggler's Notch. The Nordic Team returns to action at the UVM Carnival on Friday, Feb. 2 and Saturday, Feb. 3. The races will take place at the Trapp Family Lodge.
