The University of Vermont ski team will continue the EISA slate at the Dartmouth Carnival on Friday (Feb. 9) and Saturday (Feb. 10). The alpine races will be hosted at Dartmouth Skiway while the Nordic races will take place at Oak Hill. Live timing results will be available by clicking the link below.

UVM CARNIVAL RECAP
The Catamounts recorded 932 points for the two-day event. Dartmouth won the carnival with 969 points and New Hampshire claimed third place with 701 points. Middlebury earned a fourth-place finish with 645 points and Colby rounded out the top-five in fifth place with 544 points.

WEEKEND SWEEPS
Alayna Sonnesyn and
Paula Moltzan swept the women's Nordic and alpine races last weekend. Sonnesyn won the women's 5K classic race by three-tenths of a second. The senior edged Dartmouth's Katharine Ogden with an official time of 14:48.0. She also won the women's 15K freestyle mass start race at 45:36. Moltzan cruised to victories in both races as the sophomore posted a combined time of 2:07.34 in the giant slalom race and 1:49.68 in slalom. Â

CATS IN THE OLYMPICS
UVM will send a record number of former and current athletes to the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in PyeongChang, South Korea, which kick off on Friday (Feb. 9) and conclude on Feb. 25. The Vermont ski team will be represented by six former and current athletes - Lowell Bailey '05,

Jonathan Nordbotten '14, Caitlin Patterson '12,
Scott Patterson '14, and
Laurence St. Germain '19.

WHAT'S NEXT
Vermont will compete at the Williams Carnival next Friday (Feb. 16) and Saturday (Feb. 17). The alpine team will race at Jiminy Peak/Berksire while the Nordic team hits the trails at Prospect Mountain.Â
2018 UVM SKI & RACE & PANCAKE BREAKFAST – FEB. 25
Join UVM Skiing for the 2018 UVM Ski Race and Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, February 25 starting at 10 a.m. at
Cochran's Ski Area in Richmond. We will be setting an alpine dual style course, come join the fun as all abilities are welcome. Bring your Nordic skis as well and pick up some tips from our Nordic team.Â
