AMHERST, Mass. – Two Catamounts won individual events and a relay team won the 200 free relay to finish the meet, but the Minutewomen of UMass took a 200-100 victory over the Catamounts Saturday afternoon in Amherst.

Vermont drops to 0-2 on the young season while UMass improves to 3-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Freshman Beth Hartog won the 200 back with a time of 2:08.96. She also touched the wall second in the 100 back (1:00.47).
- Freshman Jenny O'Neil claimed the podium in the 200 IM with a time of 2:12.44. She also took second in the 100 fly (58.98) and third in the 100 breast (1:08.91).
- The 200 free relay team of Kira Parker, Issy Magbie, Vivian Nguyen, and Sophia Smith posted a time of 1:39.49 to win the event.
- Smith and freshman Cailin Campbell finished a second and third in the 200 free with respective times of 1:56.84 and 1:59.86. Smith also finished third in the 500 free (5:15.48) and Campbell claimed third in the 100 free (54.36).
