BOSTON – University of Vermont captain Emily Murphy was named America East Diver of the Week following her performance on the boards at UMass and New Hampshire last weekend. The conference announced the weekly awards earlier Wednesday.

Murphy posted a one-meter score of 232.04 and a three-meter score of 231.67 to win both at New Hampshire on Sunday (Oct. 20). She claimed the one-meter dive by more than 30 points and the three-meter dive by more than 12 points.
 
It marked the second time this season Murphy has won both diving events. In the season opener at Forbush Natatorium against Northeastern, Murphy posted scores of 227.69 and 227.84 to win both events.
 
Murphy claimed the conference weekly honor once last season, following a sweep of the boards against Niagara (Sept. 30). It marks the fourth weekly award of Murphy's career.
