UTTERBACK EARNS SECOND AMERICA EAST HONOR
Vermont freshman
Emma Utterback was named America East Rookie of the Week on Monday afternoon by the league office. She started her first two games as UVM's point guard and excelled in the new role. Against Norwich she played 34 minutes and had 14 points, four rebounds and six assists as UVM won 86-40. On Saturday against Canisius she led the Catamounts to another double-digit win with 15 points, two assists, two steals and a career-high eight rebounds.

CRYMBLE DELIVERING IN HER SENIOR CAMPAIGN
Hanna Crymble is the team's leading scorer with 17.4 points-per game. She is tied for seventh in the NCAA with six double-doubles this season. Remarkably those six double-doubles have come in the last seven games. She has made 72 field goals this year which is also tied for the seventh in the NCAA.
SCOUTING THE HIGHLANDERS
NJIT rebounded after an 0-6 start to the season by winning three in a row. They come to Burlington 3-7 after Tuesday's loss to Farleigh Dickinson. Under second year head coach Mike Lane, the Highlanders return three starters and add seven new pieces for 2019-2020.
Danielle Tunstall has led the way with 12.4 points and 9.4 rebounds-per-game. She has three double-doubles through her ten starts. Milena Bajic has responded from an early season injury and played five games this year. She was recently named ASUN Player of the Week, with freshman Kenna Squier earning ASUN Freshman of the Week for her performances in a 2-0 stretch for the Highlanders.
SERIES HISTORY
Saturday's game is the fourth meeting between the Catamounts and Highlanders, and just the second in Patrick Gymnasium. The two schools have met in three of the last four seasons with Vermont winning each meeting. NJIT has not visited Burlington since November of 2016. Last Year the Catamounts took a 71-63 win in Newark. UVM was led by
Hanna Crymble's 26 points, and the bench outscored NJIT's 17-4. Four different Catamounts knocked down three-pointers in the road win.
CATHY INGLESE PATCHES
This season the Catamounts are wearing jersey patches to honor our former Head Coach Cathy Inglese. Inglese was the head coach at Vermont for seven seasons, from 1986 to 1993. She led UVM to unprecedented success with its first two conference titles, in 1992 and 1993, and its first two trips to the NCAA Women's Basketball Championship.
These patches will be worn at home and on the road this season to honor the memory of Coach Inglese who tragically passed away this summer.
