SCOUTING THE HUSKIES
The Huskies are 5-6-3 in 2019-20 and 3-1-2 in their last six games since being swept by BC. UConn took a tie in a series with Providence (Nov. 22-23) and went 1-0-1 against UMass Lowell (Nov. 15-16) before sweeping Miami last weekend.

UConn has seven NHL draft picks on the roster, three freshmen and four sophomores. The seven picks are tied for eighth most in the country with several schools: Denver, Michigan, Minnesota-Duluth, Notre Dame, Penn State, and Providence.

The Husky offense ranks sixth in Hockey East and is tied for 29th nationally with 2.71 goals per game. With 3.36 goals against per game, UConn's defense ranks 10th in Hockey East and is tied for 46th in the country.

Fourteen Huskies have four or more points through 14 games. Sophomore Jáchym Kondelík and senior Benjamin Freeman lead the Huskies in scoring this season with 10 points apiece. Kondelík leads the team in goals (5) and Freeman leads the team in assists (7).

Sophomore Tomáš Vomácka has spent the bulk of the season between the pipe and currently he holds a .897 save percentage and a 3.36 goals against average.

INSIDE THE SERIES
Vermont was 21-2-1 all-time against UConn through the series' first 24 games played.  Since the start of the 2017-18 season, UConn has won five of eight games. Vermont is 9-6-0 against UConn under Kevin Sneddon.

UVM took its biggest win in program history over UConn, a 16-2 win at the Gut in Feb. 1972.

ACE IN THE HOLE
Junior Ace Cowans scored Vermont's lone goal in a 2-1 series-opening loss at ASU (Nov. 29).  He added his first career power play goal on Saturday (Nov. 30) for his first multi-goal weekend. His five shots on goal on Saturday also marked a career-best.

VLAD THE IMPALER
After assisting on Cowans' goal Friday (Nov. 29), junior Vlad Dzhioshvili added a goal and assist on Saturday (Nov. 30). Dzhioshvili matched career-highs in goals, assists, points, and added two blocked shots for another career-best Saturday. It also marked the first points of the season for the junior, who broke through in Tempe.
