CATAMOUNTS LOOKING TO REBOUND STRONG
Last weekend at the Middlebury Carnival the host Panthers won their first EISA carnival since 2008. The Catamounts finished third overall at the carnival, marking just the second time in the last 10 years UVM has not finished first or second. In 2017 UVM finished third in their carnival but rebounded the following weekend to win the Dartmouth Carnival by 36 points. In 2017 just like last weekend for Vermont there were competitors absent from the EISA race due to other competitions.

EISA CHAMPIONSHIP COMING HOME?
Vermont has won a record 36 EISA Championships, including 12 since 2000. The Catamounts most recently won six consecutive EISA titles from 2011-2016. In 2017 and 2018 the Dartmouth Big Green edged UVM for the EISA crown.

MOLTZAN AND ST. GERMAIN REPRESENT UVM ON THE WORLD STAGE
Last weekend UVM alpine skiers
Paula Moltzan (USA) and
Laurence St. Germain (Canada) competed at the 2019 FIS Alpine World Championships in Åre, Sweden. St. Germain finished a career-best sixth overall in the slalom, while Moltzan finished 18th overall.

On Tuesday St. Germain competed in the FIS City Event in Stockholm, Sweden. She finished sixth overall in her second-ever city event. "I am super happy with my result. It was the first time I was able to (move) past the first round," said St-Germain, who defeated Katharina Liensberger of Austria two runs to none in the eights. "I'm happy with my race and hopefully next time I move even further."
