SKIING NOTEBOOK
After a strong performance at their home carnival last weekend the Catamounts are back in action at the 109th Dartmouth Winter Carnival Friday and Saturday. Alpine races will be held at the Dartmouth Skiway in Lyme, N.H., while the Nordic team will be in action at the Dartmouth XC Ski Center at Oak Hill in Hanover, N.H.

NORDIC MEN DOMINATION
So far this season the UVM men's Nordic squad has won all six races. Last weekend at the Vermont Carnival at Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe the Catamounts swept the podium both days. The Catamounts have claimed 16 of the 18 podium positions in the six races this season.

OGDEN CONTINUES FANTASTIC START TO CAREER IN GREEN AND GOLD
Vermont freshman
Ben Ogden has had quite the start to his EISA career for Vermont. He has raced four times this season for Vermont and won three times. Last weekend at the Vermont Carnival he won the men's 20k Classic on Saturday and finished second in the 10k freestyle on Friday.

BIZYUKOVA AND ENGLISH EARN FIRST CAREER EISA WINS
The home course advantage propelled UVM's
Anna Bizyukova and
Francesca English to their first-ever EISA wins last weekend. Bizyukova won the women's 15k Classic in a time of 50:20.7 on Saturday. Friday
Francesca English won the giant slalom as Vermont swept the podium.

MOLTZAN AND ST. GERMAIN FINISH IN TOP-20 AT MARIBOR
Laurence St. Germain and
Paula Moltzan missed the Vermont Carnival last weekend as they were in Maribor, Slovenia racing on the FIS World Cup circuit in the slalom. Moltzan finished 16th overall with a combined time of 1:45.89 and St. Germain was 17th overall in a time of 1:46.05.

Moltzan is back in Vermont this week and will ski for the Catamounts this weekend. Both UVM skiers will compete in Åre, Sweden at the 2019 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships. The women's slalom race at Worlds is scheduled for Saturday, February 16.

2019 NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS ARE BACK IN STOWE
This March the University of Vermont will be hosting the NCAA Championships for the first time since 2011. Competition will run Wednesday, March 6 through Saturday, March 9. Like the UVM Carnival alpine races will take place at Stowe Mountain Resort while the Nordic races will be held at Trapp Family Lodge.
