The Vermont Catamounts (5-3, 2-0 AE) look for their third straight conference win to open the season at UMass Lowell (3-6, 0-1 AE) on Saturday (Mar. 30).

SCOUTING THE RIVER HAWKS
UMass Lowell enters Saturday's America East game with a 3-6 overall record and 0-1 conference mark. The River Hawks have lost four straight games since taking an 8-5 win over Manhattan in early March. Most recently, UML fell to St. John's, 15-13. In AE play, the UAlbany Great Danes took a 17-11 win over UML two weeks ago.

Cory Highfield leads the team in goals (14) and points (26). Daniel Cozzi leads the team in assists (17). Freshman Liam McDonough leads America East with a .609 success rate at the X. Senior Grant Lardieri has made seven starts in goal for UML and holds a 12.94 goals against average and .449 save percentage.
UML's offense ranks sixth in the conference with 9.67 goals per game. Its defense ranks third in the AE with a 12.24 goals against average.

INSIDE THE SERIES
Vermont and UMass Lowell meet for the fifth consecutive season and the fifth time in series history tomorrow night. Vermont has won all four meetings. Last season, Vermont rolled to a 14-7 home win over the River Hawks on Virtue Field. UVM took a 12-11 victory in the last meeting in Lowell.

WASHUTA STANDS TALL
Junior goalie
Nick Washuta recorded 14 saves in Vermont's 15-6 win over Hartford last weekend. He played the first three quarters before being relieved with a 12-0 Catamount lead.

Dating back to UMBC's lone fourth quarter goal in the conference opener, Washuta has gone 59:46 without allowing a goal. It marks the longest scoreless streak in program history.

The Orono, Minnesota native extended his program record with his ninth America East weekly honor following the Hartford win.
FRENCH MATCHES CAREER-HIGH
Junior attackman
Ben French matched a career-high with five goals in Vermont's win over Hartford. The Toronto, Ontario native finished five feeds from teammates near the crease. French tallied five goals in Vermont's 11-9 loss at Dartmouth in 2017.
OLTERS FINDS TWINE
Catamount freshman
Per-Anders Olters became the first German-born player to record a goal in NCAA Division I lacrosse with his tally late in the fourth quarter against Hartford.
The Frankfurt native finished a feed from
Bryan Cahill for his first career goal.
