The Vermont Catamounts (7-4, 4-1 AE) look to close the America East regular season with a win over the Stony Brook Seawolves (7-5, 3-1 AE) on Senior Day, presented by UVM Alumni Association, Saturday at Virtue Field.

WASHUTA GRABS 10th WEEKLY HONOR
Junior goalie
Nick Washuta picked up America East defensive player of the week honors for the fifth time this season after tallying nine saves while allowing four goals at Binghamton. He has won nine defensive player of the week honors in his career, the most since the award was introduced prior to the 2016 season. JD Colarusso (UAlbany '18) is second in conference history with five weekly defensive honors. Washuta is just the fifth player in conference history to receive 10 or more weekly honors in a career.

REALLY FAST CATS
Vermont's pair of goals in a seven second span at Binghamton was the fastest since UVM buried two in a six second span in a 2017 win over Holy Cross.

Last weekend, Knight scored with 7:04 remaining in the third quarter before Milchling added another with 6:57 to play. In 2017,
Rob Hudson scored with 10:29 to play in the first quarter and
Ben French added the second with 10:23 in the first in a 14-8 Vermont win on Virtue Field.

FRESHMEN STEAL THE SHOW
Vermont's freshmen class leads the team in point and goal production in 2019. The freshmen have accounted for 75 of Vermont's 206 points for 36.4% of the team's point production. The newcomers have tallied 50 of Vermont's 128 goals for 39.1% of the team's goal production in 2019.

David Closterman (15-8-23), and
Sal Iaria (9-8-17) represent three of Vermont's top seven scorers this season.

SCOUTING THE SEAWOLVES
Stony Brook enters Saturday with a 7-5 overall record with just a pair of conference games left in the 2019 regular season. Stony Brook ranks second in the conference in man-down defense (.756) and scoring defense (10.83), behind Vermont in both categories. Stony Brook's offense ranks fifth in the conference and 58th nationally, scoring 10.17 goals per game.

Junior Tom Haun leads the team in goals (27) and points (37). He ranks fourth in the conference in goals per game (2.25) and sixth in points per game (3.08). Â Outside of Haun, three other Seawolves have reached 20 points and another four have 10 or more points. Junior Michael Bollinger has started every game in 2019 and holds a 10.87 goals against average and .526 save percentage.

Stony Brook holds a 19-2 all-time series record against Vermont. UVM's victories have both come in the 2016 and 2018 America East Semifinal round. Stony Brook is 8-0 all-time in games played in Burlington; 10-0 all-time in games played on Long Island; and 1-2 in games played in Albany, New York.
