- Vermont will open the season on Tuesday, November 5 as they travel to face Dartmouth at 7 p.m. It will be the seventh straight season the intrastate rivals face each other.
- On the first weekend of the season the Catamounts will travel to the Midwest to face Loyola Chicago and Minnesota. Vermont will face the Ramblers on Friday, November 8 and the Golden Gophers on Sunday, November 10. It will be Vermont's first-ever meeting with Loyola Chicago.
- UVM will host seven non-conference opponents in Catamount Country – Bryant in the home opener on Sunday, November 17, Navy on Friday, November 22, UMass on Friday, November 29, Saint Francis on Sunday, December 1, Norwich on Wednesday, December 4, Canisius on Saturday, December 7 and NJIT on Saturday, December 14.
- Vermont will open America East play with two games in the state of New York. The Catamounts will face UAlbany on Thursday, January 2 and then Stony Brook on Wednesday, January 8.
- The Catamounts will welcome UMBC to Patrick Gym for their America East Home Opener on Saturday, January 11. It will be Vermont's first matchup with the Retrievers new head coach Johnetta Hayes.
- The Maine Black Bears, two-time defending America East champions, will visit Burlington on Wednesday, January 22.
- First year head coach Morgan Valley, a Rice Memorial High School graduate and Colchester native, will return to Patrick Gym on Saturday, February 8 with the Hartford Hawks.
- The America East Tournament will get underway with the quarterfinals on Wednesday, March 4. The semifinal round will follow on Sunday, March 8 and the championship game is set for Friday, March 13. Top seeds will host on campus sites throughout the tournament.
Alisa Kresge is set for her second season as head coach of the Catamounts. Last year Kresge led the Catamounts to a fifth-place finish in America East. Vermont won 11 games marking their best year since 2009-10. The 11 wins were also the most by a Catamount coach in their debut season since 2003-04.
