TRACK & FIELD NOTEBOOK
The Vermont track & field program splits off into three meets this weekend, beginning with the Terrier Classic on Friday (Jan. 24) and Saturday (Jan. 25) at Boston University. The Catamounts also visit New Hampshire and Middlebury on Saturday. The meet at UNH begins at 12 p.m. and the Middlebury Invitational starts at 12:30 p.m.

TERRIER CLASSIC STREAM
The Terrier Classic can be seen on
FloTrack.org. FloTrack is a subscription-based service, which starts at $12.49 per month with the option to cancel at any time. Lancer Timing is the official scorer for the Terrier Classic, as well as the meet at UNH, and will be posting live results on its website.

TERRIER CLASSIC (Jan. 24 & 25)
Vermont sends a small group down to Beantown for the Terrier Classic at Boston University Track & Tennis Center. The women will be competing on Friday, followed by the men on Saturday. The two-day meet is the first of four trips to BU. UVM will return for the Valentine Invite (Feb. 14 & 15), the America East Championships (Feb. 21 & 22), and the ECAC/IC4A's (Mar. 7 & 8).

NEW HAMPSHIRE (Jan. 25)
The Catamounts compete against America East foes UNH and Maine, as well as the Ivy League's Dartmouth on Saturday at Paul Sweet Oval in Durham, N.H. Dartmouth won the Relays it hosted two weeks ago over Vermont, UNH, and Maine. The UVM men clipped New Hampshire and Maine in the meet. The Vermont women finished below UNH, but beat Maine.

MIDDLEBURY INVITE (Jan. 25)
UVM returns to Middlebury for the second consecutive week on Saturday at Virtue Field House. The Catamounts have recent success when making the short trip down Route 7.
FALL OF WINTERFELL | Recap
The Catamounts men and women captured their first victories of the season last weekend at the Middlebury Winterfell.
Phoebe Koski won the mile with a personal-best time of 4:59.52 and ran a leg on the winning 4x800 meter relay team.
Shane O'Connor registered a victory in the shot put with a distance of 14.95 meters. In the 1000 meter run,
John Benner (2:28.24),
Tyler Marshall (2:29.62), and
Bill Comstock (2:30.09) swept the top three spots.

BENNER HONORED BY AMERICA EAST | Release
Senior
John Benner was named America East Male Track Performer of the Week following his first-place finish in the 1000 meter run last weekend at the Middlebury Winterfell. Benner recorded a personal-best time of 2:28.24 to win by 1.48 seconds. His adjusted time, accounting for the flat track at Virtue Field House, was 2:26.23, which is currently the fastest mark in the conference.
