The Vermont Catamounts (3-13-2, 0-8-1 HEA) host the Dartmouth Big Green (7-5-2, 5-3-1 ECAC) on Community Bank N.A. Night at Gutterson Fieldhouse Friday.

SCOUTING THE BIG GREEN
Dartmouth enters Friday night with a 7-5-2 overall record and 5-3-1 ECAC mark. The Big Green won their home holiday tournament with consecutive wins over Colorado College and UConn. Dartmouth opened 2020 with a 4-3 win at Princeton (Jan. 3) before falling at Quinnipiac, 5-1 (Jan. 4).

Sophomore Drew O'Connor leads the team in goals (8) and points (17). O'Connor is tied for third in the ECAC in goals and sixth in scoring. Freshman defenseman Tanner Palocsik leads the Big Green with 10 assists. Palocsik is tied for the conference lead in assists among rookies.

Adrian Clark has started 13 of 14 games for Dartmouth in net. He holds 2.95 goals against average and .904 save percentage.

INSIDE THE SERIES
Friday night marks the 81st meeting between Vermont and Dartmouth in series history. The twin-state rivals have met annually since the 1977-78 season.

Vermont holds a 50-24-6 all-time record against Dartmouth. UVM has won the last five meetings and hold an 8-1-1 record in the last 10 meetings.

A LOOK BACK
Vermont took a 5-3 win over Dartmouth at Thompson Arena in November 2018 to claim its fifth straight over the Big Green.

Craig Puffer '19 tallied back-to-back goals to end the first period and put UVM ahead 2-1. Two straight shorthanded goals from Vermont late in the second and early in the third sealed the win.

McCUTCHEON FINDS TWINE
Freshman
Riley McCutcheon became the fifth and final member of the Class of 2023 to score his first collegiate goal Tuesday night against Yale (Jan. 7).

Captain
Derek Lodermeier recorded his 50th and 51st career points against Yale (Jan. 7). It marked the first multi-point game of the season and seventh of the Brooklyn Center, Minnesota native's career.

At the faceoff dot, Lodermeier is 13th in Hockey East and 62nd in the country with a 55.7% success rate (195-350).
