SKIING NOTEBOOK
After a week off the Catamounts are back in action at the EISA Championships hosted as a part of the 97th annual Middlebury College winter carnival. UVM is looking to rebound after back-to-back second place carnival finishes to the host Panthers. Nordic competition will take place at the Rikert Nordic Center while alpine races will be just down the road at the Middlebury College Snow Bowl.

EISA end-of-season awards for Nordic and alpine will take place at the completion of events on Saturday at the Middlebury College Snow Bowl.

HISTORY OF EISA CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Catamounts have won the EISA Championship a record 36-times. UVM's last title came in 2016, which at the time was their sixth straight. The Dartmouth Big Green have won each of the last three years. Dartmouth and Vermont have won every title since 2005. 2004 was the last time Middlebury won the EISA Championship.

BIZYUKOVA AND SCHULZ NAMED EISA SKIERS OF THE WEEK
Following the Williams Carnival
Anna Bizyukova and
Karl Schulz were named EISA Skiers of the Week. Bizyukova won the 10k Classic for her first win of the season and she was a member of the Catamounts relay squad that finished second overall. Schulz finished third overall in the 10k Classic, the best classic finish of his EISA career. Schulz completed the second leg of the Catamounts first-place relay team as well.

O'CONNELL AND OGDEN HEAD TO GERMANY FOR JUNIOR/U23 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
UVM Nordic skiers
Finn O'Connell and
Ben Ogden are headed to Oberwiesenthal, Germany for the 2020 FIS Nordic Junior/U23 Cross Country World Ski Championships. Competition will start Saturday and go through March 7. O'Connell will compete in the U23 category while Ogden will be in the World Juniors. Fellow Catamounts
Bill Harmeyer and
Karl Schulz also qualified for the competition but they declined.

DRURY CLINCHES SKI CROSS WORLD CUP OVERALL TITLE
Kevin Drury '14 recently finished second at the Ski Cross World Cup races in Sunny Valley, Russia. His second-place finish solidifies the fact he will claim the Crystal Globe as the overall World Cup title winner. The final World Cup event of the season is March 14 in Veysonnaz, Sweden.
