BURKE, Vt. – Sophomore
Mathias Tefre earned the first two EISA giant slalom wins of his career as the Catamounts captured five of the six podium spots in GS action from Burke Mountain Saturday.

Men's GS Results
In the first GS of the day Tefre crushed the field. His first run time of 58:95 was 1.10 seconds faster than everyone in the field. His second run time of 1:00.45 was also the best on the day. His two-run time was 1:59.40. Teammate
Raphael Quenneville came in second to earn another podium for the Catamounts, his combined run time was 2:00.06.
David Frisk was the Catamounts final scorer in the morning, he placed fifth overall with a two-run time of 2:01.18.
In the second race Tefre laid down the best first run again, his time of 57.83 was 1.27 seconds faster than anyone else. His combined run time was 1:58.80. Once again Quenneville placed second for the Catamounts with a two-run time of 1:59.03. Frisk earned a podium spot with a third-place finish finishing .16 seconds behind Quenneville. First-year
Diego Holscher had the tenth-best first run but was a DNF on the second.
The EISA season continues next weekend on Friday, February 19 as the Nordic teams compete in a 15k Skate at Jackson XC in New Hampshire. The alpine team is scheduled to be back in action on Thursday, February 25 at Whiteface Mountain in Lake Placid, NY.
