VUOKATTI, FINLAND – Sophomore Waverly Gebhardt and junior Ben Ogden of the UVM Nordic ski team represented the United States at the 2021 FIS Junior World Ski Championships last week in Vuokatti, Finland.

Gebhardt competed in three events last week. On Tuesday in the classic sprint she qualified in 28th and finished the day in 25th as the top American. On Friday in the 5k Freestyle she finished 51st overall with a time of 15:36.5. On Sunday in the 15k Classic she placed 53rd overall with a time of 52.20.0.
 
Ogden was also the top American on Tuesday in the men's classic sprint. He qualified third overall and placed 11th overall. Ogden's final event of the Championship was the 15k Freestyle on Friday. He placed 33rd overall with a time of 37:35.6.
