LAKE PLACID, N.Y. – First-year
Justine Clément earned the second EISA win of her career winning the second giant slalom of the day leading the Vermont women's alpine team at Whiteface Mountain Thursday. The Catamounts earned three podium spots on the day and a total of 223 team points.

In the first GS of the day first-year
Ella Renzoni was the top Catamount finisher earning her third straight EISA podium with a second-place finish. Her two-run time was 2:02.74. Teammate
Josefine Selvaag earned her first podium of the year in third place just .13 seconds later.
Rachael DesRochers was the Catamounts final scorer in the morning, she placed fourth overall with a two-run time of 2:03.47.
In the second race Clément threw down an impressive first run to propel her to a second career win. Her first run time of :58.92 was 1.11 seconds faster than anyone else in the field. Her two-run time was 2:00.12. Once again Desrochers placed fourth for the Catamounts with a two-run time of 2:03.16. It was her fourth straight fourth place finish on the EISA circuit. Selvaag was a first-run DNF in the second race.
The EISA season continues Friday with two men's giant slalom races from Whiteface Mountain. The Nordic teams are set to compete in Sleepy Hollow, Vt. with a 10k Classic. The men will kick off the action at 10 a.m. followed by the women at 11:30 a.m.
