Mina Poppas each won two events Saturday as the Catamounts faced Providence in their second meet of the season. The Friars narrowly defeated Vermont 149-145 at Taylor Natatorium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- On Saturday, the teams competed in two one-meter dives. Murphy won both competitions, the first with 238.65 points and the second with 235.72 points. Her teammate Chloe Smith earned six team points for UVM finishing third in both events.
- Parker won the 100 back for the second straight meet. Her time of 1:05.29 was 2.81 seconds faster than her nearest competition. She also won the 100 free, she swam the two fastest 50m splits on her way to a .94 second win.
- Poppas earned her first win of the season in the 200 free defeating PC's Jennie Bankes by 3.61 seconds with a time of 2:09.38. Her second win of the afternoon came in the 400 free, this time with a margin of 3.97 seconds.
- Cailin Campbell earned her first win of the season in the 200 IM leading a UVM sweep of the top three spots. Campbell finished in a time of 2:27.99, and her teammates Kara Campbell (2:28.89) and Katie Rivers (2:29.66) finished just behind her.
- Rivers also earned nine points for Vermont in the 200 fly in her first win of the season. Her time of 2:27.84 was .56 seconds faster than Providenc's Rachel DiTolla.Â

The Catamounts are back at it on Sunday, March 14 at noon as they host Maine on Senior Day presented by the UVM Alumni Association. The meet and the pre-race Senior Day ceremony will be streamed live on AmericaEast.TV.
