COACH'S QUOTE
"I'm really pleased with how our team is making things work through these tough times," said head coach
Matt Belfield. "Their sacrifices are paying off and we coaches are grateful for the commitment. Our men in the steeplechase set a great tone.
Ross Elkort led the way with a personal best and all of our men followed with bests as well.
Alex Siaton continues to impress in his rookie campaign and demonstrates great range from 100 to 400.
Patrick Kitchen and
Tyler Marshall led our mid-distance guys to a ton of personal bests. Our javelin men were great today too, with
Zane Russom's victory being a lifetime best. I thought the John sisters wire both impressive wining their events and teaming with
Mia Grasso and
Lindy Stadtlander for the fastest 4x400 we've run in a long time. While the heat made it tough in the 5k, I was impressed with
Phoebe Koski and
Andrew Crompton getting victories – and I know I shouldn't complain about the heat! We'll work hard to clean up the things that were a little off and get back to it on Friday.
