DIVING NOTEBOOK
Three divers from the Vermont women's swimming & diving team are traveling this weekend to Binghamton University to compete at the 2021 America East Championships. Due to COVID-19 the diving competition will be this weekend followed by swimming events next week at NJIT.

The women's three-meter will be at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday, April 17 followed by the one-meter at 10:15 a.m. on Sunday, April 18. All of the action will be streamed live on AmericaEast.TV

MURPHY LOOKS TO FINISH HER CAREER STRONG
Senior
Emily Murphy will be making her final appearance at the America East Championships after four strong seasons in the conference. Murphy has been named the America East Diver of the Week eight times in her career including once this season on March 17.

As a first year Murphy earned All-Conference honors placing second overall in the one-meter. Last spring, she earned All-Conference honors with a third-place finish in the three-meter.

NGUYEN RETURNS TO CONFERENCE STAGE
Sophomore diver
Taylor Nguyen will be making her second appearance at the league championships this weekend. As a first year she placed ninth overall in the one-meter and 14th overall in the three-meter.

SMITH SET FOR CONFERENCE CHAMPS DEBUT
First year
Chloe Smith will be making her debut at the conference championships this weekend. Her best score in the one-meter this year was 198.52 against Maine on March 14. She scored a season-high 201.90 in the three-meter that afternoon as well.

DIVING FOR HISTORY
The Catamounts trio of Murphy, Nguyen and Smith will be looking to become the second-ever Vermont diver to win an America East title. Maggie Preston '16 is the only Catamount in program history to win the three-meter and the one-meter for UVM. Preston won the three-meter in 2015 with a score of 256.95. She claimed the one-meter title in 2016 with a mark of 248.90.
