SKIING NOTEBOOK
For the first time since 2018 and third time in the last eight years UVM's neighbor Saint Michael's will host this weekend's EISA action. The alpine competition will be at Smugglers' Notch Resort in Jeffersonville, while Nordic races are slated for Sleepy Hollow in Huntington.

GEBHARDT, LINDSTOL AND OGDEN RECEIVE WEEKLY EISA AWARDS
After last weekend's action in Maine
Waverly Gebhardt,
Joachim Jagge Lindstol and
Ben Ogden were honored as EISA Skiers of the Week, given to the highest point getters on a given weekend (although you can only earn the honor once a season). Lindstol had a fantastic opening weekend for the Catamounts winning the slalom and giant slalom for UVM, the first two EISA wins of his career. Gebhardt and Ogden won the mass-start 20k freestyle for UVM last weekend.
OGDEN AND PATTERSONS NAMED TO U.S. OLYMPIC CROSS COUNTRY TEAM
This afternoon senior Nordic skier
Ben Ogden and former UVM Nordic All-American siblings Scott '14 and Caitlin '12 Patterson were named to the 2022 U.S. Olympic Team. The current and former Catamounts represent three of 14 cross country skiers named to the U.S. squad for the 2022 Olympic Winter Games in Beijing next month. Ogden will be making his Olympic debut while the Pattersons will be competing in their second straight Olympic games.

RETURNING DEPTH FOR THE CATAMOUNTS
With the added year of eligibility due to the COVID-19 pandemic the Catamounts 2022 roster is stacked with returning talent. UVM returns five All-Americans from the 2021 NCAA Championships.
Mathias Tefre was the National Champion in the slalom and he was joined by
Justine Clément (slalom) and
Francesca English (GS) as First Team All-Americans.
Anna Bizyukova (classic) and
David Frisk (slalom) were Second Team All-Americans along with Tefre (GS) and English (slalom).
LAST TIME AT THE SAINT MICHAEL'S CARNIVAL
The last Saint Michael's Carnival was contested over two weekends in January of 2018. The Catamounts accrued 956 points defeating Dartmouth by 10 points. UVM was led four years ago by individual wins from
Alayna Sonnesyn (10k freestyle, 5k classic),
Bill Harmeyer (10k classic) and
Paula Moltzan (slalom).
