JEFFERSONVILLE, Vt. –
Matias Øvrum and
Joachim Jagge Lindstol picked up individual wins Saturday as the Catamounts earned nine podium places in a dominant day on the EISA circuit. Vermont won its second carnival of the season with 984 points. They finished 224 points ahead of second-place Dartmouth.

At Sleepy Hollow, once again the Catamounts men's Nordic team was dominant. UVM swept the podium and had the top-four finishers. Ovrum won his second race of the weekend with a time of 12:29.5 in the 5k classic.
Finn Sweet earned his first podium of the 2022 season with a time of 12:42.6.
Greg Burt was the Catamounts final scorer placing third overall just .3 seconds behind Sweet. First year
Aidan Burt earned the first top-10 finish of his career placing eighth (13:03.3).
On the women's side
Anna Bizyukova and
Waverly Gebhardt each earned their second podiums of the 2022 season. Bizyukova placed second overall with a time of 14:33.0 and Gebhardt placed third overall in a time of 14:49.9.
Annie McColgan was UVM's final scorer of the afternoon, coming in eighth with a time of 15:10.0. Her teammate
Phoebe Sweet came in ninth five seconds behind McColgan.
At Smuggler's Notch Lindstol continued his tremendous start to the 2022 campaign. He won his third race of the season with a two-run time of 1:33.29. His second run time of 48.27 was the second fastest in the field. 2021 NCAA slalom national champion
Mathias Tefre earned his first podium of the season placing second overall Saturday. He finished .51 seconds behind Jagge Lindstol.
Declan McCormack was UVM's final scorer placing seventh with a two-run time of 1:34.66. McCormack's first run of 44.82 was the second fastest in the field.
On the women's side Vermont finished 2-3-4 and had five student-athletes in the top-nine.
Moa Clementson earned her second podium of the year with a second-place finish in a two-run time of 1:42.35. Her first run was the second fastest in the field. Justine Clement earned her first podium with a combined run time of 1:42.96, placing third overall.
Caroline Jones had the fastest first run in the field at 48.44. She placed fourth overall with a two-run time of 1:43.15.
Marina Vilanova (1:44.85) finished seventh and
Stephanie Lebby (1:45.35) was ninth.
After a weekend off the EISA circuit will return the weekend of February 4-5 at UVM's home carnival. The Catamounts will host alpine races at the Mt. Mansfield Ski Club part of the Stowe Mountain Resort and Nordic races at Crafts
