BURLINGTON, Vt. – Vermont Nordic skiing sophomore Bjorn Westervelt, a Mechanical Engineering major, is our TD Bank Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending January 2.
 
At the USBA Youth and Junior National Team Trials in Soldier Hollow, Utah Westervelt won all three days of the trials, sweeping the 10k sprint, 10k pursuit and 7.5k sprint December 28-31. His triple gold medal performance secured his spot on the USBA Junior World Championship team. He will represent Team USA at the Youth and Junior Biathlon World Championships also in Soldier Hollow this year February 21 to March 3.
