DURHAM, N.H. –
Josie Larkins moved into second place all-time at UVM with 198 made three-pointers with five made triples part of her game-high 17 points in a 60-37 win over New Hampshire Wednesday evening in America East action from Lundholm Gymnasium. The 23-point win at UNH is the largest in program history and marked the fourth straight time UVM has won at UNH. With the win UVM improved to 1-1 in league play while the Wildcats fell to 0-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Catamounts started fast once again Wednesday night as Catherine Gilwee and Delaney Richason hit back-to-back three-pointers as UVM built and 8-0 lead just 2:11 into the contest. UVM led 11-8 after the opening 10 minutes.
- Anna Olson took over for the Catamounts early in the second frame to break the game open. She scored eight points in the first 2:36 of the second quarter giving UVM an 19-10 edge.
- Larkins made some history and extended the UVM lead with back-to-back three-pointers of her own to make it 28-13. At 4:46 of the second quarter she hit her 195th all-time three at UVM moving past Lori Taylor (1994-98) for second all-time in program history.
- Olson scored 12 points in the second quarter and UVM carried a 33-19 edge into the half.
- UNH's Amanda Torres and Adara Gorman each had four points in the third quarter as the Wildcats narrowly cut into the Vermont lead.
- Vermont quickly reestablished their edge in the fourth with back-to-back triples from Richason and Larkins to make it 49-30 just 1:12 into the final frame. Bella Vito scored four points in a 9-2 run over 3:40 of game action to close out UVM's largest ever win in Durham.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Vermont hit six three pointers in the first half while the Wildcats were 0-for-7 from downtown. Vermont's nine made three-pointers are its third highest output this season.
- Dating back to the last season four of the Catamounts last five conference games have been double digit wins.
- The 37 points UVM gave up are the fewest they have surrendered in a single game since defeating UAlbany 52-36 on February 1, 2020.
- First year guard Bella Vito played a career-high 18 minutes this evening. She had five points, one steal, one assist and four rebounds.
- This evening was the fourth time this season that Josie Larkins has hit five or more three-pointers in a single game. This year she is shooting a career-best 43.4% from downtown.
