VERMONT – NEW HAMPSHIRE DUAL MEET
BURLINGTON, Vt. – Vermont track & field secured a pair of victories against New Hampshire on Sunday afternoon at Gardner-Collins Indoor Track. The UVM men tallied 87 points to beat the Wildcats (31 pts). The Catamount women outscored New Hampshire 87-76.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Pierce DeBoer and Kevin Mills battled in the high jump with matching 1.89-meter marks, but DeBoer clinched the first-place finish.
• Carolena Bellini placed first in the triple jump with a mark of 10.95 meters. Sarah Bushnell logged a second-place finish with a mark of 10.57 meters.
• Emma Wapshare posted a shot put distance of 10.89 meters to clinch five points and first place.
• Sadie Holmes placed first in the women's mile with a time of 5:28.22, followed by Geneva Cote and Ellie Churchill to round out the top three.
• Cameron Kirn logged a 1:07.71 mark in the men's 500-meter finals to take first place in the race.
• Trey Poquette took first place in the men's 55-meter dash with a time of 6.76 seconds to narrowly beat Chike Asanya (6.82s) in second place.
• Dina John and Andie Cornish swept the top two spots in the 800-meter run with times of 2:21.63 and 2:22.67, respectively.
• Andrew Crompton (1:58.26), Kenneth Morrissey (1:58.27), and Davis Cote (1:59.08) ran a hotly contested 800-meter run, taking the top three spots.
• Christian Groff took first place in the men's 1000-meter run with a time of 2:33.76.
• Sonia John (41.58s), Gabby Rausa (41.95s), and Mia Grasso (43.08s) finished in the top-three spots in the 300-meter dash to pick up 10 points for the Catamounts.
• Alex Siaton (35.97s), Jake Bair (36.09s) and Alex Warner placed No. 1 through No. 3 in the men's 300.
