BOSTON – Although the Catamounts split off into two meets, Vermont track & field saw plenty of highlights including Top-10 marks on Saturday (Feb. 5). The UVM men (22nd) and women (15th) completed the New England Championships at Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center. The Catamounts also saw action at the Scarlet & White Invite, hosted by Boston University.

COACH'S QUOTE
"There were certainly some highlights today at both meets," said head coach
Matt Belfield. "Jane (Leighton's) 3k was the third-best mark in program history behind an All-American in Morgan Powers and Judi St. Hilaire who went on to become an Olympian. Andrew (Crompton was second all-time in the men's 3k with his performance and Wyatt (Matyas) was fourth.
Bill Comstock was second all-time in the 800 – just off of Taylor Kracher's indoor record from two-years back. Ian (Denis) getting his lifetime record in the 3000 at New Englands was a really cool moment. It was good for us to get on a banked track and have some competition. The hard work is paying off."
