Tefre was the only skier in the field to have a top-five time in both runs Friday. His combined time of 1:53.69 was .28 seconds faster than Utah's Gustav Vollo. With the win Tefre is the first Catamount to win back-to-back slalom titles since UVH Hall of Famer Einar Bohmer '92 in 1991 and 1992. Lindstol also earned a podium Friday placing third with a two-run time of 1:54.01.
Mackenzie Wood placed 16th overall for Vermont with a two-run total of 1:56.55. Vermont took 89 points in the men's event, 11.5 more than the closest competition.
"It's a great feeling," said Tefre. "I had it last year and it was pretty amazing I was able to pull it off this year. I had a good first run. Didn't do too much, I just held it down there to get some points for the team. But then second run, knowing the course, you just have to be stable and pull it down and I was able to put the skis down the hill and get the win. Amazing!"
Clementson was the top Eastern skier in the women's slalom placing fourth overall with a two-run time of 1:46.04. Clementson had the fastest second run time in the field at 54.58. Denver's Katie Hensien won the title with a combined run time of 1:45.40.
Marina Vilanova tied 15th in the field with a two-run time of 1:49.81.
Stephanie Lebby was 24th earning seven team points with a combined time of 1:55.10.
