SKIING NOTEBOOK
After claiming the 2022 EISA Championship the Catamounts are in Park City, Utah for the 2022 NCAA Skiing Championships hosted by the University of Utah from March 9-12. The four-day event will bring alpine racing to Park City Mountain Resort and Nordic competition to Soldier Hollow, both of which hosted events during the Salt Lake 2002 Winter Olympic Games.

DOMINANT EISA CAMPAIGN
The Catamounts clinched the program's 38
th EISA title two weeks ago at the East Regional hosted by New Hampshire. They cruised to the title with 981 team points, 253 more than their closet competition. Vermont had an exceptional season winning all six carnivals. They earned 59 podiums and 24 wins as a team. 9 student-athletes were selected to the All-East First Team and 7 were honored as All-East Second Team.

CATAMOUNTS QUALIFY FULL SQUAD FOR NCAAS
The Catamounts are one of five teams at the 2022 NCAA Skiing Championships to qualify a full squad of 12 skiers. On the Nordic side

CATAMOUNTS SEEKING SEVENTH NATIONAL TITLE
Vermont will be seeking its seventh NCAA title this week in Utah. Vermont (6) and Dartmouth (3) are the only eastern schools to ever claim the crown. 12 of the last 13 champions have been from the west, the lone exception being the Catamounts in 2012.

INDIVIDUAL NATIONAL CHAMPIONS, WE'VE HAD A FEW
Vermont has claimed 69 individual NCAA titles in program history. Last spring
Mathias Tefre became the 69th winning the men's slalom in a two-run time of 1:29.09. He won by six-hundredths of a second. He was the fifth Catamount to win the men's slalom.

OGDEN ONE OF 10 BEIJING OLYMPIANS COMPETING THIS WEEK IN NCAAs
Ben Ogden, the 2020 NCAA Champion in the 10k Freestyle is one of 10 Beijing Olympians competing at the NCAA Championships. Ogden finished 42nd in the 15k Classic and ninth in the men's team sprint in his Olympic debut. Ogden was one of six current or former UVM ski student-athletes to compete at the Olympics.
