COACH'S QUOTE
"The 20 miles-per-hour winds certainly made for unusual circumstances today," head coach
Matt Belfield said. "In the short events and jumps, there was a big tailwind, while the throws and distance events proved very challenging. It was a good opportunity for our athletes to focus on doing the best that they can under the conditions. We competed well in many areas and won a bunch of events. Noteworthy were the performances of Alex in the javelin and the Charlotte in the 400, dealing with the wind as they did. The men in the 100m really capitalized on the wind and ran great, as did Carolena and Kayla in the long jump. Lauren continues to impress in the hurdles and ran a solid 200 as well today."
