BURLINGTON, VT – The Catamounts (5-2) came up short against the Minutewomen (1-2) 186-114 on Saturday afternoon in Vermont's annual Rally Around Mental Health Meet.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Vermont began the day with Tannah Proudfoot placing third in the one-meter dive with a score of 216.15.
- In the first swimming event of the day, the Catamounts claimed second in the 200 medley relay. The combination of Alexis Torykian, Natalie Schlemmer, Hally Laney and Havana Layton finished in a time of 1:48.11. The combination of Megan Mitchell, Lindsay Burbage, Summer Pierce and Maggie Desmond placed first for UMass and set a Forbush Natatorium record with a time of 1:45.32.
- Ella Church finished first in the 1000 free and the 500 free recording a time of 10:27.92 in the 1000 free and a time of 5:06.51 in the 500 free. Church also finished third in the 200 free with a time of 1:58.88.
- Vermont earned a 1-2-3 finish in the 500 free with Church placing first in 5:06.51, Jackie House finishing second in 5:09.83 and Emily Rocco placing third with a time of 5:14.98.
- House also earned a second place finish in the 200 free with a time of 1:54.22 and recorded an individual victory in the 100 free placing first in a time of 53.41.
- The Catamounts also earned a 4-5-6 finish in the 200 IM with Laney finishing fourth in a time of 2:13.23, while Kara Campbell (2:13.57) and Schlemmer (2:19.80) rounded out the top six.
- In the final event of the day, the 400 free relay, the combination of House, Havana Layton, Josephine Hiers and Anastazja Szukala placed second in a time of 3:36.48.
WHO'S NEXT
Following today's meet with UMass the Catamounts will return home to faceoff with UConn on Saturday, December 9, for a second consecutive meet at Forbush Natatorium. That meet is scheduled to start at 12 p.m. and will be broadcast live on AmericaEast.TV.
