Natalie Schlemmer earned Most Outstanding Rookie and sophomore
Jackie House garnered Most Outstanding Swimmer at the America East Championships where Vermont finished third after winning a record amount of individual events. This is the first time in program history that Vermont has received Rookie of the Meet and Swimmer of the Meet in the same year. Vermont finished with 563.5 points for third while New Hampshire took home first with 833 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Ella Church dominated in the 1650 freestyle taking home a gold medal for the second consecutive year. Church finished in 16:54.98 almost a full three seconds ahead of the field. Impressively in her 1650 performance she set a new varsity record in 1000 free with a time of 10:07.97.
- Vermont took home seventh and eighth in the 200 backstroke with senior Beth Hartog placing seventh in a time of 2:04.10. Emma Wainwright continued her strong first year campaign at the America East Championship coming in eighth in a time of 2:03.96 to earn the Catamounts 11 points.
- House continued her dominance at the America East Championship earning another gold medal finishing first in the 100 freestyle in a school record time of 50.32. Mina Poppas finished in eighth in a time of 51.94 earning the Catamounts 11 more points. House is the first-ever Catamount to win the 100 free.
- Schlemmer placed third in the 200 breaststroke setting another UVM varsity record. She finished in a time of 2:17.28 while fellow first year Lilly Acker finished in eighth in a time of 2:23.89.
- Sophomore Hally Laney completed her sweep of the fly events at the championships claiming a gold medal in the 100 fly Saturday evening in a time of 2:02.42.
- The combination of House, Poppas, Cailin Campbell and Ellie Fazio placed fourth in the 400 freestyle relay to earn 30 more points for the Catamounts to end the night.
