BURLINGTON, VT – The Catamounts earned a 179-105 victory over Siena on Sunday afternoon in their annual Senior Day presented by MVP Health Advantage. With the victory Vermont improves to 6-4 on the season and with the defeat the Saints fall to 3-6-1 overall and have lost five of their last six matchups.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Vermont began Sunday's meet with a first place finish in the 200 medley relay. The combination of Alexis Torykian, Ellie Fazio, Hally Laney and Havana Layton earned the first place finish in a time of 1:49.61.
- Josephine Hiers, Gwenyth Lister, Zoe Webster and Anastazja Szukala earned a second place finish for the Catamounts in the 200 medley relay finishing in a time of 1:51.21
- Vermont earned a one, two, three finish in the 1000 freestyle with Ella Church garnering a first place finish in a time of 10:35.45, a full 21 seconds ahead of the next closest swimmer. Seniors Ellie Martin (10:56.82) and Maggie Mantz (10:57.00) rounded out the top three in the 1000 free.
- The Catamounts also earned one, two, three finishes in the 200 free, 200 fly and 50 free.
- In the 200 free Jackie House earned first in a time of 1:55.22, while Emily Rocco (1:56.12) and Dayle Snively (1:59.23) rounded out the top three.
- In the 100 back Autumn Bullinger finished first for the Catamounts in a time of 59.85 while Emma Wainwright (1:00.26) finished third and Hiers (1:00.70) finished fourth.
- In the 200 fly first year Jessica Drozdowski placed first with a time of 2:10.33, a full three seconds ahead of the competition. Miranda Schuman (2:13.51) and senior Kara Campbell (2:14.58) rounded out the top three.
- Vermont also earned first place finishes in the 50 free, 100 free, 200 back, 200 breast, 500 free, 100 fly and 400 IM.
- In 50 free Laney earned a first place finish in a time of 24.88, while Layton (24.94) and Webster (24.94) tied for second to round out the top three.
- In the 100 free, Szukala placed first in a time of 53.42, a near full second ahead of the next closest swimmer.
- In the 200 back Autumn Bullinger earned a first place finish for the Catamounts with a time of 2:10.68, nearly three seconds ahead of the next closest swimmer.
- Tannah Proudfoot claimed first in both the one-meter and three-meter dive, earning a score of 256.58 in the three-meter and a score of 225.53 in the one-meter.
- Vermont claimed another first place finish in the 200 breast with sophomore Lilly Acker claiming first place in a time of 2:26.29, a full four seconds ahead of the next closest swimmer.
- Church earned her second individual victory of the afternoon claiming first place in the 500 free with a time of 5:07.15, 20 seconds ahead of the next closest swimmer.
- Laney also earned her second individual victory of the day in the 100 fly finishing in a time of 57.32, which was almost six seconds ahead of the next closest swimmer.
- Natalie Schlemmer placed first in the 400 IM with a time of 4:43.61, which was a full six seconds ahead of the next closest swimmer and helped seal Vermont's 179-105 victory.
WHO'S NEXT
Following this weekend, Vermont will return to action for one final meet against Rhode Island before the America East Championships begin. The Catamounts and the Rams will faceoff on Saturday, January 20. The meet is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. and will not be broadcast live.
