WEST POINT, N.Y. –
Natalie Schlemmer had three runner-up finishes Friday night leading the Catamounts in a 220-79 win over Central Connecticut State from a Tri-Meet at Army West Point's Crandall Pool. The host Black Knights won all 16 events Friday and defeated the Catamounts 222-78.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Schlemmer finished second in the 100 Breast, 200 Breast and 400 IM for the Catamounts Friday evening. She earned three of Vermont's eight second place finishes tonight.
- Havana Layton continued her strong start to the season finishing second for UVM in the 50 Free and 100 Free. Her time of 24.24 in the 50 and 52.78 in the 100 were both season-bests for UVM this year.
- Hally Laney placed second in the 200 Fly for the Catamounts with a time of 2:05.57. She had the fastest 50-yard split in the field but was caught down the stretch by Army's Maggie Kroening.
- Jackie House was UVM's final individual runner-up on the night in the 500 Free with a time of 5:11.94.
- The Catamounts 200 Free Relay squad of Laney, Layton, Zoe Webster and House closed out the night with a second-place finish .71 seconds behind Army's winning team.
WHO'S NEXT
Following tonight's meet, the Catamounts will return to action 33 miles north tomorrow afternoon as they face Marist at 1 p.m. from Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
Vermont will compete at home again on Saturday, October 19 as they host Merrimack at 1 p.m. It will be the Catamounts Annual Rally Against Cancer Meet presented by Mascoma Bank. The action will be streamed live on AmericaEast.TV
